THE TIGER LILLIES

The Tiger Lillies create a new show in collaboration with the Foundation Hans Christian Andersen. After their breakthrough with Shockheaded Peter, a peculiar and disturbing interpretation of a German pedagogic drama, the narrators of lunacy are touring again with this musical adaptation of The Little Match Girl by Hans Christian Andersen - a series of tableaux vivants directed by Dan Jemmet with set design by Richard Byrd.

The encounter between the Tiger Lillies and Hans Christian Andersen is an emotional voyage through two artistic experiences and worlds. The epoch and disciplines are certainly different, but the encounter is real.

The Tiger Lillies love to tell the sad stories of Andersen's anti-heroes with humor and poetry. With their scenic presence they bring the strong images of Andersen's melancholic tales on stage, fascinating the theatre public with their diabolic charm and their music.
