PETER GREENAWAY

THE TULSE LUPER VJ PERFORMANCE

After “Wash and Travel”  -  the installation at the Rotonda della Besana for the exhibition Rooms & Secrets, produced by Change Performing Arts for the international design fair 2001 -  Peter Greenaway, director of cinema classics like The Pillow Book, The Cook The Thief His Wife and her Lover and Prospero’s books, returns to Milan with a multimedia event that refers to the adventures of his imaginary character
Tulse Luper.

Constantly in search of new expressive forms of cinema which use new technologies, Peter Greenaway presents us an example of live cinema, combining live images and DJ Radar's remix of the Tulse Luper film score.

Using contemporarily up to six screens, the VJ Event with Peter Greenaway and DJ Radar is part of the multimedia project The Tulse Luper Suitcases, which tells the picaresque adventures of the writer Tulse Luper from 1921 to 1989, set against the background of the 20th century history and the crucial history of uranium.
